Willowmere Farm

Privacy policy

Effective 8 October 2026

Your farm stays on your device unless you choose to create an account. If you play as a guest, nothing is saved at all.

The game asks your month and year of birth once. Players under 13 get a guest-only game: no account, no cloud saving, no feedback form and no data sent to us.

This policy covers the Willowmere Farm app for Android (com.willowmere.farm) and its web version, published by DXN Studio. It describes what the game actually does, not a general template.

The age screen

The first time you press Play, the game asks for your month and year of birth. It uses the answer on your device to decide which version of the game you get. The date itself is never stored and never sent anywhere. Only the result, either "under 13" or "13 and older", is remembered on the device. If the result is "under 13", entering a different date later does not change it. Clearing the app's data or reinstalling the game starts the screen again.

Players under 13

Under-13 players play as guests only. There is no account, no sign-in, no cloud saving and no feedback form. The game does not save progress between visits. We do not collect personal information from them, and ads, if they are ever added, will not be personalised for them.

Guests

If you choose Play as guest, nothing about your game is saved: not on your device and not in the cloud. When you close the game your progress is gone.

Accounts and cloud saves

Players 13 and older can create an account with an email address and a password. We use Google's Firebase service for this:

To protect the free service from running out for everyone, the game saves to the cloud only at a few moments (when you sign in, when you sleep to a new day and when you leave the game), and only if your game has changed.

Both services keep their data in the United States. We use the account email only to sign you in. We do not email you.

Feedback

Players 13 and older can send a short report from the menu. It contains what you typed, whether it is a bug, an idea or something else, the app version, the platform (for example Android or web), the time, an account ID (an anonymous one if you are not signed in) and, only if you choose to enter it, a contact email. Please do not include passwords or personal details in the text. Reports are stored in Cloud Firestore, cannot be read back by the app, and are kept only as long as we need them to act on them.

What stays on your device

The game keeps its settings, your signed-in session, your saved farm (for signed-in players) and a few counters that keep the game within its free usage limits. Uninstalling the game or clearing its data removes them.

What the game never collects

The Android app asks for internet access only.

Who else receives data

ServiceWhat it receivesWhy
Google Firebase (Authentication and Cloud Firestore) Email address, password hash, account ID, sign-in records, cloud saves and feedback, for players 13 and older who choose them Signing in, saving your farm, receiving your feedback
Cloudflare Ordinary web request records, including your IP address, when you play the web version Delivering the web version of the game
Google Play Install and update information under Google's own terms Distributing the Android app

How long data is kept, and deleting it

Your account and cloud saves are kept until you delete your account. You can delete it yourself inside the game (Menu, then Delete account, tapping twice to confirm) or by following the steps on the delete account page. Deleting removes your sign-in account and your cloud saves, and it also removes the copy on the device you used. If you saved to the cloud less than a minute earlier the game may ask you to try again in a minute.

Feedback reports are kept only as long as we need them. If you want reports linked to your account removed, email [email protected]. Records held by Google, such as ordinary service logs, follow Google's own retention rules.

Legal bases, for users in the UK and the EEA

Where the UK GDPR or the EU GDPR applies:

The game is intended for players 13 and older. In some countries the age of digital consent is higher than 13. If you live in one and are younger than that age, please play as a guest.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to and port your personal data. Deleting your account in the game covers deletion. For anything else, write to [email protected]. If you think your data has been handled badly, you can complain to your national data protection authority. In the UK that is the Information Commissioner's Office.

If you are in California

Under the CCPA and CPRA you may request the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected, request deletion, and request correction. The categories involved are identifiers (email address and account ID) and information you give us (cloud saves and feedback). We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. Exercising any right here will not get you worse service.

Children

Willowmere Farm is for players 13 and older. Players under 13 can still play as guests, and in that mode we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, email us and we will delete it.

Security

Data is sent over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed by Firebase Authentication and are never visible to us. The cloud storage rules let each account read and write only its own saves, and let nobody read feedback through the app.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that affects what is collected or who receives it, the effective date at the top will change and the store listing will point at the updated page. Material changes will be called out in the release notes rather than made quietly.
